Hello all,
I encourage you, as LIU students and grads, to use a variety of job hunting and career resources. As you may or may not know, LIU has a Career Services office (Post campus), and I met with Director of Career Development Jason Cascone to find out more about what they offer so I could pass that info on to you, including:
LIU’s own Job Net (Job Bank and Career Information System): https://pep.liu.edu/liu/student/
Career Resources page (lots of good links here): http://www.liu.edu/CWPost/StudentLife/CareerSrv/Resources.aspx
For alumni: http://www.liu.edu/CWPost/StudentLife/CareerSrv/Alumni.aspx
Full list of services (including resume reviews via e-mail, mock interviews, and the full-text of their resume, cover letter and interviewing worksbooks) : http://www.liu.edu/CWPost/StudentLife/CareerSrv/Services.aspx
Please note: for some of their services, you have to be on campus (Post) but others can be used remotely.
They also have some exciting new services that are in the works, and as soon as those are announced I will share them with you.
You can call Career Services with questions or to make an appointment: 516-299-2251
Thank you,
Ellen Mehling
Director, Westchester Program and Internships
