Applying for Graduation

Please read the following for details on applying for graduation.
(Information on filing for graduation is sent to kiosk every semester.)

If you are planning on finishing your degree requirements by December (graduating in January, 2015), the deadline to apply is October 17, 2014.

Please note! You must now file for graduation online!

  • Log on to MY.LIU.
  • Go to Self Service
  • Degree Progress/Graduation
  • Apply for Graduation

If you have applied for graduation before but for whatever reason did not graduate, you must re-file an application.

Students who are applying for the certificate in archives and records management must complete a paper application.  The application and directions for faxing or mailing it can be found at the link: http://www.liu.edu/CWPost/About/Offices/Registrar/Graduation. Print the pdf and check off CAS (Certificate of Advanced Study) for that certificate.

All Master’s graduates of the Palmer School qualify for New York public librarian certification.  The link below will take you to the New York State Education webpage where you will find the information for applying for certification.  http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/libdev/cert/

Remember that if you are transferring in any credits from another school, we will need official transcripts. They should  be addressed to Gerry Kopczynski, The Palmer School, LIU Post, 720 Northern Blvd, Brookville, NY 11548.
