Applying for Graduation

Please read the following for details on applying for graduation.
(Information on filing for graduation is sent to kiosk every semester.)

Please note! You must now file for graduation online!

  • Log on to MY.LIU.
  • Go to Self Service
  • Degree Progress/Graduation
  • Apply for Graduation

If you have applied for graduation before but for whatever reason did not graduate, you must re-file an application.

All MSLIS graduates of the Palmer School qualify for New York public librarian certification.  Please read carefully the information related to the new (as of Jan. 2015) public librarian certification requirements found here: Public Librarian Certificate as of 2015

Archives Certificate: Students who are applying for the certificate of advanced study in archives and records management must complete a paper application.  The application and directions for faxing or mailing it can be found at: http://www.liu.edu/CWPost/About/Offices/Registrar/Graduation. Print the pdf and check off CAS (Certificate of Advanced Study) for that certificate.

Remember that if you are transferring in any credits from another school, we will need official transcripts. They should  be addressed to Christine Prete, The Palmer School, LIU Post, 720 Northern Blvd, Brookville, NY 11548.
